Between Miami and Naples on the old Alligator Alley, this out-of-the-way and peaceful campground is a good value.
✓ The groundskeeper keeps the park beautiful and well-groomed;
✓ Mosquitos were not a nuisance;
✓ Level RV pads;
✓ Shady spots on the East side of the lake;
✓ If you're wary of falling acorns, park on the West side of the lake;
✓ Paved road around the lake is good for kids on scooters or bikes and athletes in training.
If you want to get out of the world to escape the Rat Race and phone calls from busybodies in your life, THIS is the place for you! Practically no WiFi and sketchy phone service. 👍 (Texts DO go through on average, just in case of emergencies, at least for us ... we have Verizon.)

This was a stop over after our Everglades trip on the way to fish the Miami Canals for Exotics. Bathroom was clean the tent sites were good with a table under a pavilion with a fire ring. The only issue is they built the tent sites closest to the entrance and the road noise with the big semi's that run all night is really loud. Only a few minutes away is Clyde Butcher's studio so that is really cool to visit prior to camping.
