What Guests Are Saying
Midway Campground offers a peaceful and well-maintained environment with clean facilities and friendly hosts, making it an ideal stop for exploring the Everglades and Big Cypress areas. Campers appreciate the privacy of the spacious sites, easy access to hiking trails, and the campground's cleanliness. However, there are some limitations, including a lack of showers and minimal cell service, as well as a need for better signage to ensure safety and compliance with campground rules.

A great little campground in the middle of the Everglades. Super clean, well kept. Very convenient to see the Everglades and Big Cypress. We will be back.

Love this campground. Small campground. Sites are level. Ok size. Most on the upper number sites have trees. Bathrooms clean.

The Campground volunteers are impeccable as to keeping the grounds good and the campers satisfied. Troy does an awesome job. Can’t wait to see him next year.

When we arrived we were asked to move off the road to where the trash can is to unload our car. W suggest they just get a load of gravel in that area since it’s a mud hole when it rains.
It is very difficult to see the park drive especially at night. You could use a better sign at the road maybe lighted also.
Some grown men had remote cars going up and down the drive, it was annoying, but more so since dogs were going crazy.

Need to have turnouts when backing into a site. As long as we’ve come down I say the same thing as everyone else does but this will be our last time here when it rains we have to drive thru mud. Not no more. Change it

The location is perfect for exploring many Everglades offerings, from visitor centers to nearby airboat tours and boardwalks. VERY well maintained lawns and sites. Biggest bummer is the bathhouse is toilets only, no showers. Also, our site had a BBQ and the site over had a fire pit; we would’ve loved the fire pit instead! But we had a portable one we could use. VERY nice sites with paved pads and electricity. We were concerned about the central pond and mosquitoes. They hit hard and fast right at dusk, so be prepared (we love eating outside, and the mosquitoes feasted well, too - haha!). Definitely would use this campground again.
