Wish there was water hookup. Wish there was a shower. Bugs got inside despite screens being used. Next to no bugs using air conditioning. Very nice campsite with pond view and palm trees. Very convenient to visit the Everglades

The website does not specifically list no showers. In my experience, campgrounds with electric hookups and flush toilets tend to have showers so I didn't research this. Even an outdoor shower would be helpful. The campground itself is nothing special with sites right on top of each other in an open space. Unfortunately, other campers let their dogs poop wherever and didn't pick it up which caused us to have to avoid land mines on the way to the restroom. With 3 camp host, I would have thought that campers would have been monitored for this behavior.

We tent camped in the primitive area, mid March. No privacy and if you have trouble with loud neighbors it can be tough. Also, the campground is next to the road so the vehicles can get loud as they drive by.
Mosquitos weren't too bad for us but they were there. A little bug spray was enough. Centrally located to all the parks, boat ramps, vistor's centers in the area's national parks. The hosts were nice and helpful, especially the maintenance guy. Fishing in the pond had a few bluegill, not much other than that. The canal across the street, had too many gators to fish. They kept chasing the topwater :)
In the park, we saw cat birds, cardinals, fox squirrels, night herons, barred owls, lubber grasshoppers, and white eyed vireos. At night, the stars were beautiful. Would come on a new moon next time to really see some stars. Overall, a nice trip!
