Camp host was very helpful and friendly. The area including restrooms were clean and well maintained. Cell service (Verizon) was weak a few times during the evening.

Great campground hosts, welcomed us and gave a thorough orientation. Sites were clean, nice spacing between them, the location was central for visiting Big Cypress. It was great to have electricity.

What an excellent campground! As good as any I've stayed in. Lots of space between campsites. Beautifully maintained with clean bathrooms. If you want a shady site, book sites 14-26. (26 is large with no one beside it). If you want sunny then book 1-13. While there is no sewer at each site, it is easy to drive over to the dump station in the campground. The rangers and volunteers were very friendly and helpful.
The location of this campground is perfect. Easy trip across to Everglades City to the west or Shark Valley tram tour and the Everglades to the East. You have to stop at Joannies to eat after you do the Wet Walk in the Swamp with the rangers!

I always love my time at Midway.
The 30 Amp electrical outlet was not making a good connection at my site on this visit and Thomas, the camp host, loaned me his adapter. Thank you Thomas, for saving me a trip to Naples to buy an adapter and making my short stay an awesome time in Big Cypress!
