What Guests Are Saying
Midway Campground offers a peaceful and well-maintained environment with clean facilities and friendly hosts, making it an ideal stop for exploring the Everglades and Big Cypress areas. Campers appreciate the privacy of the spacious sites, easy access to hiking trails, and the campground's cleanliness. However, there are some limitations, including a lack of showers and minimal cell service, as well as a need for better signage to ensure safety and compliance with campground rules.

Good location but not much happening in the campground. I think the bugs kept everyone in their tents or campers.

We left a day early but could not find a place on the reservation site to get a reservation refund using our phone, a bit diappointing, otherwise the stay was enjoyable.

This is a lovely tidy little campground deep in the Everglades. Bathrooms are clean, sites are level and easy to access and, though small, it has a decent amount of space between sites. Probably about 1/3 of the sites have some shade (over in the south eastern corner). Easy water and electrical hook-ups, though our electrical was not working so we plugged into the site next door. Overall, nice campground with no sand dirt or mud. Not a ton of things to do, but a perfect place to post up for a night.

The bathrooms were dirty and the toilets were backed up and unable to flush

We enjoyed the quite location and proximity to the airboats. This site was the perfect spot to stay the evening before traveling on to the Keys.

Great campground. Made for a great overnight from the keys to Tampa before the hurricane. Two weeks before we stayed there and drove the 21+ mile road. Very nice. Electric made the stay perfect.

We couldn't get into the site we reserved and paid for so
we went into another one as it was late at night when we got there. We couldn't stay the other nights we reserved as it started flooding and Hurricane Ian was approaching we had to get out. All in all it was pretty miserable although not due to the park but how hard it was to get into site and mother nature.
