What Guests Are Saying
Midway Campground offers a peaceful and well-maintained environment with clean facilities and friendly hosts, making it an ideal stop for exploring the Everglades and Big Cypress areas. Campers appreciate the privacy of the spacious sites, easy access to hiking trails, and the campground's cleanliness. However, there are some limitations, including a lack of showers and minimal cell service, as well as a need for better signage to ensure safety and compliance with campground rules.

Nice location, very close to the Big Cypress Preserve and Shark Valley. Shark Valley is a must see. We also did a guided bike tour with the learning center at the Preserve which was really good.

Lovely spot. Fun viewing of wild life. Only negative is campers with overly bright lights in a dark sky area.

Great location for visiting Shark Valley, Clyde Butcher Studio and other places in this remote, unique part of Florida. Great flat concrete pads, roomy sites. Not private and nothing to do at the tiny campground, but a great base location for the area. Electric hook-up only, but good potable water and a dump station.

{"text"=>"Exceptional campground located off Tamiami Trail. The sites around a small lake. It’s very quiet and peaceful. There is a dump station and potable water, but no water hook ups at the campsite. There’s also about 8 tent site available. Book on recreation.gov before arriving. Close to shark Valley.", "languageCode"=>"en"}
