Monument Lake Campground

We stayed here while doing some sightseeing in the area. You are in Big Cypress Preserve and close to the Everglades. This is a beautiful campground surrounding a lake. Nice sites for dry camping. There is no electric, water, or sewage. There is a cell tower right beside the campground so service is great. We had Verizon. The hosts of this campground are very kind and we would definitely stay here again if we are in the area.

Beautiful location. Clean and well-kept. Ranger Cheryl came by to greet everyone. Saw the neighborhood gator a couple times, but only in the water. Excellent cell service the entire stay (Verizon). This was our second time. Looking forward to our next visit.

Very nice place and friendly, helpful hosts. An abundance of wildlife, especially birds, if one wanders on foot or bicycle. I would not recomend this campground for people with pets as the sites are aranged around a lake with allagators.

Very peaceful. Staff is great! Helpful and courteous. Well maintained. We will definitely be back.

This is a beautiful little campground with friendly folks and dark skies for star gazing.

Very nice campground, bathrooms with showers and flush toilets. All of the campground hosts we encountered were VERY welcoming and helpful.

We LOVED it, do wish it wasn't required to have to reserve online, that you can pull in and pay at campground due to lack of cell service within the area. Wish we would have seen more alligators, as we were told there were a lot rhere.

Excellent sunsets and Everglades wilderness. Great and well-informed camp hosts. I saw two alligators sunning on lake banks this year. I'd recommend visiting the Miscoksukee Indian Village about 30 mi east of Monument Lake campground.

Nice campground, level sites, picnic tables and fire rings. Bath house clean with nice shower. I liked the outside sink to do dishes. The days I was there were calm and warm, nice sunsets and sunrises. The nights were dark enough to view the stars.
