Overall a nice well-kept campground with helpful and friendly campground hosts. However, the sites in the northern section are much too close together. Also, allowing generator use from 6am to 10pm (with some campers running them the entire time (like to folks next to us -- even when they were not in camp!) is too much and very annoying,

We had a wonderful time and the hosts were great and accomidating...if I had one complaint it would be the vault toilet wasn't cleaned enough, and I mean the toilet and the floor..

I camped at Monument Lake for three nights. Very clean and quiet. Plenty of hot water for showers and well-maintained bath houses. Had to travel outside of park to find firewood. Plenty of alligator siting's and birds of all types. Enjoyed exploring and hiking on nearby trails. Excellent Verizon cell phone coverage.

Beautiful lake at the campground complete with Alligators, Egrets, Herons, Osprey, and Swallows dancing as the sun rose. This campsite is for you if you love wildlife and the outdoors.
Quite buggy in the evenings (as to be expected) and not much shade, but there are flushing toilets, showers and a large outside sink for washing dishes.
The camp hosts were very friendly and informative.
It’s close to a number of different boardwalks found along route 41 at rest stops, rec areas and visitor centres that never failed to disappoint in terms of wildlife viewing when we visited in January. We saw over 30 gators in the river beside the Oasis visitor centre. Bring your binoculars for a heightened experience!

The campground hosts were fantastic. They kept the campground spotless, engaged with all the campers, made suggestions for excursions throughout the preserve and were so welcoming.

We stayed two nights. The sunrise and sunset were beautiful! The shower was a great addition we weren’t aware of until after we arrived. Hosts were amazing!
