Monument Lake Campground

Hello !
We really enjoyed the tranquility (far from the road), the absence of big spotlights (really dark at night), the friendly personnel and volunteers, the recycling ben.
I strongly recommend the sites no 13 to 26 because of the presence of trees and mature palm trees (shade).

One night, we had a neighbour who had it's generator run for 3 to 4 hours starting at 6 PM, so they could watch TV - 40 in. screen. So we had supper, we read and we went to bed at the sound of the generator and at the voice of the characters on TV.
So I would recommend that the use of generators would be allowed for a limited time. Exemple : 2 hours in the morning (8 am to 10 am) and at night 6 PM to 8 PM.
Note : I sleep with a CPAP and I don't need the generator to run. Batteries are sufficiant for all night.

The road traffic was a bit noisy at times but other than that we enjoyed our time there (one night tent stay on our way to Key Largo)

Very Clean, The Campground host were very informative and helpful. We Loved staying there. We will be going back to camp there again.

Beautiful lake with birds and gators. We were just there for one night but have been before. Bring your bike to go ride at shark valley. Definitely eat at Joanies

This place is very amazing Wonderful expérience of camping on this site. The host and all the peoples who stays there to maintain
the facilities are very friendly and helpfull. It's clean and well maintain. The lake is offering à very nice view on alligators, birds especialy those Purple Marteens who come every day offering us an amazimg ballet Been there for four days the first time and came back for another five days😉

Great Place to Camp Very Quiet and Camp Host Very helpful and friendly

Great quiet and well-maintained campground. Camp sites closest to the Tamiami Trail have some road noise, but those further do not. There are resident alligators. Friendly campground host.

The campground is very scenic, quiet, well kept up, and nicely spaced between the campsites. The camp hosts were wonderful. The hot showers are a very nice new amenity.
