This was 360 degree nature. Terrific! Campsites 27-34 have nice gravel pads. Sunset in one direction across the lake and sunrise the other direction behind campsite. Lots of birds. Saw only one alligator cruising the lake. Cell tower very close to sites 35-38. 4G service

We spent one night at Monument Lake. It was quiet and the area was clean. The fire pit had a grill for cooking. We saw one good sized alligator in the lake.

It was so bad we didn’t even stay. The bugs were everywhere. Couldn’t even get out of the car without having bugs all over you don’t recommend staying there during this time of year. The sites are all located around a lake which if you’re in a self-contained unit where you don’t want to or have to be outside you’d be fine but tent camping or even sitting outside at night was definitely not an option.

The campground is quite nice for dry camping. The entrance and loop and RV sites are smoothly paved with crushed shell. The bathhouse was being re-roofed, so I didn't evaluate that building. Be sure to watch for the alligator in the lake.
My only complaint is that the camping loop is much too close to the US-41, which stays busy all night. Burns Lake campground, with it's mile-long driveway, is much quiter. I chose Monument Lake this time, however, because I needed mobile phone service to download articles and photos to edit and publish a club newsletter to a website. Verizon service is extremely weak or non-existent at Burns Lake.

Went with my 2 kids, girlfriend and her 2 kids. The site was ideal. The bathrooms were clean and modern. Plenty of space for the few campers there to spread out and have their own space. Highly recommend.

This is one of my favorite campgrounds. Friendly and helpful hosts, a lake with fish and a couple of gators, sites are well-kept, clean bathrooms, potable well water on site, and best of all at least for me, a cell tower next door that provides 100% signal to all cell companies. Close to Marco Island beaches, Naples, Everglades City for day activities, hiking, biking, and exploring.

The Campground was beautiful. We saw lots of wildlife. The camp hosts were amazing! Our problem was your generator hours. They are allowed to run 6am till 10pm. The people never to us ran their very load generator from 7am till 10pm. Even when they left the campsite for most of the day for 2 days, they left the generator running. We couldn't take it anymore so we left 2 days early. We don't blame them. They followed the rules. It is the rules that need to be changed. Because of this we had to leave a clean, beautiful park. Please think about changing the generator hours!
