Shell Creek Campground is highly praised for its cleanliness, beautiful scenery, and friendly hosts, making it a great place for relaxation and outdoor activities like fishing and hiking. Many visitors appreciate the peaceful and secluded atmosphere, with ample space and stunning views by the creek. Beautiful spot. The campground hosts did not bother us at all (thank you!), but we also didn't break any rules. Great times......

Quite and clean. Most sites are on the Shell River among trees keeping them shaded and cool. Some trees must be 80-100ft tall. Campground is a good jumping off spot for exploring the west side of the Bighorns and fishing spots. We saw lots of mountain bikers. If you are looking for cell service and wifi this is not the spot for you. The campground hosts were friendly. I'd recommend 2-3 days/nights at Shell Campground.

Beautiful, and rushing river with fish close by. We were just disappointed with sharing parking with another vehicle. It was also extremely windy for tent camping. Our tent survived, but it was scary.
