St. Lucie Campground provides a relaxing camping experience on the St. Lucie Canal, part of the 152 mi Okeechobee Waterway that spans South Florida from the Atlantic Ocean to the Gulf of Mexico. Campers can enjoy watching boats and the occasional manatee pass through the St Lucie Lock while sitting under the warm Florida sun.

You can’t beat the price for electricity, water and a shower house at $30 a night for a boat slip.

Exceptional campground and excellent camp hosts. Clean facilities, hot water, Site RV 1 was flat. Regarding bugs that bite, make sure to wear enclosed shoes, high socks if on grass and be prepared for winter mosquitos.

The biggest downside is that it is next to impossible to reserve a space there in the “seasonal” months, Dec - Apr. And, when I am able to stay there, there is often open spaces, presumably because people have cancelled or just not shown up.
It is quiet, peaceful, comfortable, a bit of a distance from town and/or shopping. I would suggest you come fully equipped.
Also, there is a dump station but no sewer available at the sites.
There is a fair amount of boat traffic, both in the river, going through the locks, camping there, as well as people trailering their boats there and using the boat ramp.

From I-95, take Exit 101 (Stuart/Indiantown), following SR 76 W for 0.5 mi to Locks Road.
Turn right onto Locks Road for 1.3 mi to SW Canal Street and turn left into the campground.

The campground is accessible via I-95, taking Exit 101 to SR 76 W, which is approximately 0.5 miles from the interstate.
