It's beautiful and quiet. Nice trails, great view of locks even a museum on weekends. It is very small and bathroom could be better.

It is next to impossible to get a reservation here and I’m aware that some manage to stay here beyond the 14 day limit.
That having been said, it is a beautiful, quiet, enjoyable RV site, well cared-for. There is room to expand this place and that would be nice, even if only a few spaces were added. Just wish there was a more equitable way to get a reservation.

I can't directly fault the campground, but we were broken into at this location. This was daylight, and we just arrived 3 hours prior. I can blame them in that other campers prior to our arrival contacted the camphost and the park rangers about this individual on things he was doing prior to our arrival. This is a small campground. 9 rv sites, 3 tent sites and 8 boat slips. He was tent camping there, but I'm not sure if he was legally there or not. He should have been removed then. The Sheriff's dept arrived quickly from a call from another camper that saw him enter my vehicle. They eventually caught him. We camped at St Lucie South in a Fifth Wheel.

Beautiful facility!. Everything was perfect. Very quiet and peaceful. The lady at the gate was wonderful (sorry I didn't get here name).

This was a great, little campground! We had one of the three tent sites along the water. Beautiful view. Quiet. Safe. It The locks and visitor center were not open in February, but we will be back to check these out!
