Mosquitoes, unloading car within 10 minutes got warned by park ranger about getting ticket for not in parking space, even park ranger knows nothing about kindness. Left after one day. Sight made it impossible to get refund of other five days. Tried to compliment park ranger, he came back with “police come through here all the time.” Complete joke. This nonsense never happens out west.

It was a great campground with clean facilities and gorgeous landscape. We did enjoy ships passing by the canal. It was quiet and very conveniently located to the ocean.

St. Lucie South completed our tour of Corps Parks in Florida. The Camp Host was very amenable and fun to "shoot the breeze" with. It was hot and I would have appreciated a little more shade; but, the power was stable and the A/C saved the day. We were in site #RV4 which required only minimal leveling for my Leisure Travel Van. Taking a camping chair down by the water in one of the tent sites provided both shade and a cooling breeze from the water. Watching the boats "lock through" provided great entertainment. I'd like to get lucky enough to grab one of the three waterfront sites! RV1, RV2, RV3 look like they might benefit from the cooling breezes! The "facilities" were clean but dated; only one shower and toilet per bathroom. Hoping to get lucky and get one of the waterfront sites someday!

If you’re looking for a well maintained and quite RV camp this is for you. Peaceful and easy access to your site. Still close enough to the city and beaches of Stuart if you need the ocean or night life. The parade of various small and large boats is a plus also.

From I-95, take Exit 101 (Stuart/Indiantown), following SR 76 W for 0.5 miles to Locks Road.
Turn right onto Locks Road for 1.3 miles to SW Canal Street and turn left into the campground.
