What Guests Are Saying
Petersburg Campground is a beautiful and well-maintained site with spacious, clean campsites and friendly staff, making it a peaceful place to enjoy nature. Many visitors appreciate the gorgeous scenery, access to the lake, and the opportunity to see wildlife like armadillos and woodpeckers. Although there are some lingering effects from Hurricane Helene, including tree damage and a need for improvements in certain facilities, overall feedback suggests a positive camping experience.

Beautiful park, wonderful visit!
Bill & Christy made us feel like family. We had a small glitch with our water - thought we’d sprung a leak! Bill showed up, knew what it was and fixed it. Can’t wait to go back!!

The sites are clean and great water access. Also the campground attendants Bill and Christy are extremely nice and very knowledgeable of the park rules and regulations. They will help you in anyway to make your experience a great one.

Nice large waterfront sites spaced adequately apart for some privacy. Bathhouses clean. Campground well maintained. One of our favorite places to camp!

Mr. Bill and Christy are awesome! They are the best attendants that the COE has had their in years. They are extremely nice and if their is any issues they take care of them promptly. They need to be taking care of Pettersburg year round!

#18 was a great spot for our first time in the camper! We have two littles that were able to swim in the cove and meet their friends staying across the way in the middle. It was a walk to the water, the path was mostly clear but pretty steep. You can see the water from the spot, but not the bank. No cell service at all (Verizon). The golf cart made the swim beach more accessible.

SITE 80 Whew! Barely made it into that one without sliding down the gravel hill with grooves in it. It is close to water but you'll have ot hike down. Cell service with T-mobile is is great, Wifi through Verizon home internet was great too. You'll get the afternoon sun here as it faces WEST. Site is a BACK IN and a little tight.
