What Guests Are Saying
Petersburg Campground features friendly staff and well-maintained, clean facilities, making it a pleasant place to stay. Many campers appreciate the spacious, diverse sites and beautiful views, despite ongoing recovery from Hurricane Helene, which has affected some amenities and scenery. While there are some drawbacks, such as restroom accessibility and low lake water levels, the overall experience remains positive, with many expressing a desire to return.

Petersburg is my favorite place to camp. Wish the whole park was open for winter and they would remodel the bathrooms. Also, wish the Corps of Engineers would build more camp sites since its hard to get spots during the summer. Camp site #5 is awesome. It is a really big site.

Beautiful park, wonderful visit!
Bill & Christy made us feel like family. We had a small glitch with our water - thought we’d sprung a leak! Bill showed up, knew what it was and fixed it. Can’t wait to go back!!

The sites are clean and great water access. Also the campground attendants Bill and Christy are extremely nice and very knowledgeable of the park rules and regulations. They will help you in anyway to make your experience a great one.
