What Guests Are Saying
Petersburg Campground features friendly staff and well-maintained, clean facilities, making it a pleasant place to stay. Many campers appreciate the spacious, diverse sites and beautiful views, despite ongoing recovery from Hurricane Helene, which has affected some amenities and scenery. While there are some drawbacks, such as restroom accessibility and low lake water levels, the overall experience remains positive, with many expressing a desire to return.

We loved the peaceful environment at the lake. The sites are spacious, so many right on the water. Our site had an ant infestation that took a couple days to eradicate. Shady spot made for cooler days in the middle of summer. The laundry was a godsend.

Site was huge. Great open view of the Lake. A nice level lawn area in front of the campsite to sit and enjoy the view and stars at night. There was a nice staircase down to a small walkable area making it easy to access the lake to fish, swim or boat. Loved this site very much.

This park is friendly with good sized camping spots, a lovely pavilion with grills, playground and swimming area. The water was clean and nice even though the lake was a little lower than normal. We love state parks!
