The site was filthy. The people before us threw dirty diapers and plastic containers in the fire which was disgusting and foul smelling that burned entire time. Food dumped all over the site, chicken bones, eggs, baked beans. Dirty grill plate dumped in grass. At least ten batteries thrown in the grass. Unbelievable. They should be banned forever from all ha state sites.
Restrooms closed due to clogged pipes. Probably the same people. No restrooms was not fun.

So much to do on the lake and short drive to restaurants and shopping. Absolutely beautiful campground - boating, birding, hiking and swimming. Well kept facilities and nice playground for the kids.

Site 9 - Driveway is very steep. Ripped off my back stabilizer jacks backing in. Ruined my weekend.
Nice spot otherwise. Quiet and semi-private. Enjoyed the view of the lake. Some of the party boaters from Illinois Creek
have moved and made this cove their new party cove which I didn't mind the loud music. The were gone by sundown.

The campsites at Sweetwater Creek are spaced with distance between each site. The shower/bath houses were very clean and the management was very helpful with any questions that came up. We'll definitely be camping again at this excellent campground!

Beautiful large campsite next to the lake. Plenty of shade. Rock step-way that led to water, great area to fish. Bring kayaks, inflatables or boats to enjoy the lake. There is a day beach area. Plenty of room for kids to ride bikes and play yard games, such as corn hole. Inside bathrooms could be updated.

The Campground is Very Well Maintained. The Host and Park Rangers are Easy to Talk To and very Knowledgeable. The Sites are Pretty Easy to Navigate and are Pretty Level. I wish there were more BBQ Pits. I Would also like to see it Open Until the Middle of October instead of Closing the First Week of September.
