We have been looking for a campground for our weekends on Allatoona. We booked a site away from the water, which was the only site available but it was still perfect. We had plenty of space and could have gotten in the water at a number of places within the campground if we had wanted. We walked the entire campground and there are a large number of sites that are either directly on the water or at least have a view of the water. We will be returning multiple times this summer and we are really looking forward to it!

We had a beautiful campsite but it was fairly crowded. The worst thing is the long line for the dump stations when leaving. More stations are needed in different areas of the campground.

We had planned a three night stay, but our truck broke down and ended up in the shop, which put us staying an additional 2 nights. The staff was very nice and helpful, allowing us to stay in the spot an extra few hours hoping our truck would be ready that day. They have us a ride back to our campsite (at the back of the game ground) when we walked up to pay for additional nights. They then said to let them know if they could do anything to help us or if we needed anything. The campsites are big and we were right on the lake at site 18. We will be back!

We loved site 8, with the lower level serving as eating and lake observation. We knew about the steps to the lower level and were ok with navigating them; our older friends who visited us at the site wished that there was a handrail on the steps as they weren't as agile.
