I`ve stayed here twice before and have always loved this campground. Site 20 and Site 18 were the best so far. Love the large space, going down to the water and the views are beautiful and tranquil. We had small family get togethers and everyone had a good time . WIll definitley be back next Fall .

Our experience at Sawnee campground was awesome. It's a bit to get to, but well worth it. There are no bad campsite, views are wonderful, and area is peaceful. The gates lock from 10 pm to 7 am, so if you're out and about, be sure to make it back before 10 pm. There's no gate code for campground access. This place is worth going to multiple times.

Sawnee is a small but beautiful campground. My only complaint was the Dump Station. There is a sign next to the only faucet for flushing the black tank that says you are not supposed to use it for flushing the black tank. The unwritten rule is to ignore the written rule. I'll remember to do this after my next visit.
