Most campsites are parallel to and close to route 19. Trucks travel the road throughout the night and are very noisy. It was like trying to sleep under a bridge. I could not get any sleep. I left after the first night, losing money having paid in advance for two nights. I will not be returning.

Desoto Falls is a beautiful campsite in the woods with a stream flowing through. We love it as a lazy camp trip with fun cooking and chilling at the camp fire.

It was a great camp ground. There was some road noise but our site was by the water so it wasn't too bad. We enjoyed it. The hike to the waterfalls was nice. It's in a good area for other hikes, you can visit Blood Mountain, Lake Winfield Scott or Brasstown Bald.

Great location. SUPER clean. A bit close to the road if you have one of the lower ring campsites, but it's worth it for the nature and the views around.

The campsite I originally was site 10. It was a horrible site and did not fit my needs as a car camper. The parking area was up the stairs and there was no way for me to back to my tent. Fortunately, there were several other vacant sites. I quickly drove back down the mountain and reserved a better site. Site 16 backed up to the creek and I fell asleep to the sound of rushing water. I'll definitely book site 16 again!
