Beautiful park but lots of trash on the ground. Site was awkward too. Lake is pretty but swimming in it isnt easy as there is only one place they allow it and its small. It was flooded when we were there.

Very nice and spacious Camp sites. They were very well spaced out. Sites are level and very well kept. The only reason of not rating 5 stars is because you can only get to the lake at the boat ramp. Swimming isn't allowed at the boat ramp so there is no place to swim in the lake.

This is a beautiful, well equipped campground. The view of Carter Lake is spectacular no matter what site you chose. The drive is a little twisty, buy I had no problem getting my trailer to the site. We will be back.

We enjoyed having a level concrete pad for the camper and the wooden decking for the table! We loved how quiet our site was and will definitely book a campsite again. Carter’s Lake was beautiful!

From Atlanta, take I-75 north to Exit 293, then Highway 411 north to Highway 136. Turn right on Highway 136 and follow to Highway 382. Turn left on Highway 382 and look for signs to the campground-- access road is directly across from the volunteer fire station.
