Grass needs to be cut and the handicap ladies bathroom shower was covered in mold and trash everywhere. Really disgusting

I was in Site #67 and it was very peaceful, nicely shaded and surprisingly pretty quiet on the lake (unlike last year when I stayed at a different site). The site was level and had plenty of outdoor space. There was a cul de sac just past my site so would be great for kids riding bikes and scooters.
Don’t let the site photos fool you though. Although it is right on the water, you cannot get to the water from it or really even fish well from it because of the massive piles of rocks between you and the water and a big drop off. That was my only gripe. The photos looked like you could launch a kayak just down the grass from your site.
The camp hosts were marvelous, one couple was the same couple from last year and super nice and I appreciate both sets for being there because a couple of parks couldn’t even open this year because they didn’t have hosts!
All in all it was a relaxing and peaceful weekend!

Very relaxing and the water was great. A lot of bike riding and we enjoyed seeing the deer at dusk while riding our bikes. Went to Amicalola Falls which is not far for a hike and lunch in their dining room. Camper world is also close if you need something. Staff was very nice.

We were unable to go camping because my husband became very sick. I requested a refund via State of Ga and they sent a request to Old Federal but never even got a response! Very disappointing situation.

Adding the plot size for the tent area would be great. We were unable to reach anyone over the phone or find this info on the website. Would be nice to know ahead of arrival if our tents would have fit as we are not allowed to put tents on the grass

Spacious, secluded campsites and very clean facilities. Beautiful sites overlooking the lake.

Quiet, and beautiful views of the lake. Had a perfect camping spot overlooking the water and small beach. So amazing! Nice campground.
Some of the overhead lights weren’t working in the men’s bathroom, but someone fixed them while I was there. I was a little surprised there wasn’t a dumpster or garbage collection area except for the one in the bathroom….unless I missed it.
It’s too bad there are reports of non-English speaking crowds showing up without reservations, disrespecting the park, regulations and other peoples’ rights.
