Every site is spectacular. I was on three different sites during my stay and every one was better than the previous. The hosts were very kind and helpful.
Overall, I had a wonderful stay and cannot wait to come back.

Great campground with most sites having great views of the lake. Downside is that there is not many things to do if you are not boating. There is a nice swim area and playground for the kids but there are no hiking or bike trails other than the campground roads.

Camp site wasn’t clean and grass needed cutting, other than that it was great.

The grass in the entire campground was nearly 2 feet high. Looked like it hadn’t been cut in over a month. This creates a huge insect problem that we fought during our entire trip. I’ve camped at Old Federal at least 20 times and this was by far the worst experience I’ve had. The hosts were great and very apologetic about the grass situation. I know it was out of their control so we made the best of it. Definitely disappointed that the nicest campground on the lake has been so poorly maintained.

We’ve been camping at Old Federal for 12+ years, and it is our favorite close to home, weekend get-away campground. The campground has always been beautifully kept, grass cut, sites were cleaned after each camper checked out, even to the point of removing wood and ashes from the firepits that had not fully burned…UNTIL THIS YEAR!!! When we were there 2 weeks ago, the grass had not been cut all season, and I had to clean my own campsite (I’ve learned to carry a leaf blower with me to blow off the campsite). I actually witnessed another camper cutting the grass around the pavilion with a push mower. IT IS SAD AND DISAPPOINTING TO SEE THE CAMPGROUND NOT BEING MAINTAINED!!!

I absolutely love this place! All the spots are right by the lake, with easy access to it. There's a super cute beach and playground for the kids to enjoy. The best part is that only those who are staying here are allowed in, so it's never too crowded. The only downside is that the restrooms could be a bit cleaner, and some of the grass could use a trim.
