We thought the park was nice, large sites and plenty of privacy. Good views of the lake and easy access from some sites. We did not like that the grass was not cut the whole time we were there, 2 weeks. it was so high when we stepped out of our Rv we were ankle deep, caused many biting bugs. the other thing was the dumpsters there were only one place so you needed to get in your car to bring trash. They should be located by each bath house so you can walk it there. There were no dog stations either, they ask you to pick up after your dogs which is not a problem but you have to bring it all the way to the one dumpster, most times from the other end of the campground. Dog stations would be great.

Bolding Mill Campground has always been our favorite place to camp. However after this time, we are not planning on staying there again.
1st Issue: the grass was knee high, we have never seen it this high. We had to keep spraying our site, since the bugs were so bad due to grass height.
Had to check the dog daily for ticks (including our selves), made the campground look abandoned! I personally had my husband bring me our weed eater from home, so I could cut a path to the water to get in our boat. We stayed at two sites 22 and 50. Watched the company cutting grass, quickly hit some high spots, not even completing it around the play structures, only making some paths along the edge of the roads. Looked like a field ready to bail hay. As we questioned with the camp host, WHY?? The response was very negative, that it was the end of the budget and there was not money to keep the campground looking like it should. HIGHLY DISAPPOINTED!!
2nd Issue: We had two sets of camp host, we always have enjoyed most camp host. However, not the full case here. Our daughter came for 1 evening and parked outside the gate, she was given a weekly pass, so when we had a visitor for one day, we were given so much grief even though I only had 1 vehicle on the site, beside the RV. I for one appreciate the gate and camp host, however the rudeness and demeanor in which the guest are spoken to and treated is uncalled for. As I had to explain that she was not staying for the week, I then had an issue that the PAPER PASS, had to be returned, our daughter did not come back to the campsite. As we live 15 mins away and have always enjoyed camping there in the past.
If there is not money in budget, I would be willing to pay more money to camp to have a nice and clean campground!
Sad and disappointed to have such great location and amenities, that being neglected.

Very peaceful and quiet location with a beautiful lake setting. A great boat ramp is located right at the entrance to the campground. If you are a golfer there are 2 very good golf courses within 15-20 minutes of the campground, Chestatee and Chattahoochee golf clubs. We will be returning to Bolding Mill Campground.
