Our first trip to this campground. Great camp site selections, many are on the water and well maintained. Bathrooms were very clean. Will visit again next year. Sad part is they close this campground in mid October; we have fine camping weather down here into mid December.

Should open this park earlier and keep it open longer . This is a popular fishing and water sports area miss out on some of the best fishing times of the year . Gates should be opened earlier in the mornings in case someone was staying there and had to get out to go to work are school 7:00 am not good .

Great campground and sites are on paved surface. Bathroom/showers are central located but far from many sites. Campground was quiet till the weekend crowd arrived. Area seems busy on the weekend with mostly locals. We would stay again. Close to the town of Gainesville and Dawsonville. Staff were friendly and helpful.

The only reason for 2 star rating was our campsite. We stayed at site 5. It was not mentioned in the description that it is a bi-level site. The area between slab and main area is just red dirt. We camped in a 27 ft travel trailer with a slide. Our steps had to sit at the slope down to the pad due to hookups being where the were located. Slab is narrow. While the site was bad the hosts were excellent. Grounds are well kept.

My only complaint is that they don’t have an automatic gate to leave the park before 7am…. I had to work 2 days while we were there and had to leave my car outside gate and wake my husband up to take me to my car in the dark…..seems like a simple request! Otherwise this park is fantastic!!!

Excellent campsites; many sites not on lake have a good lake view; try to see Anna Ruby Falls and the Hardeman Farm, both are easy driving distance

The grounds were very well maintained. Bath houses and laundry facilities were top notch. Love the layout of the sites which provides so much privacy! One of our favorite parks.
