We had a great time. The campground was clean and the bathrooms were kept clean. There was a time when all the stalls were out of toilet paper, but it was quickly taken care of. The showers only stay on for about 25-30 seconds at a time and you have to keep pressing the button to turn the water back on… that’s a little obnoxious, but it was ok. The lake is beautiful and the beach was clean. Our campsite was clean and well maintained. :)

We loved this site, except for the multi level set up, with the fire pit and picnic table being down a couple of stairs. We pulled in to park so our awning and door was facing the lake, trailer towers don’t have this option! There is a short path from this site to a bay and beach to launch the kayak. We were next to tent camping area with few campers, so this felt like our own private beach, which was wonderful! Sunrise over the misty lake in the early morning was wondrous. Great camping experience at Morgantown Pt campground!

Me and my little ones have come here twice now to stay on site 4, and we absolutely love it! Lake access is a very quick walk down the hill. Having the slight distance from the lake works great for my small children to ensure they stay safe. Hosts are great! Facilities are clean & maintained. Lake Blue Ridge is beautiful! The sand sparkles because of the minerals in the rocks on shore near site 6 (lakefront). It’s a really neat experience to show kiddos how sand is made; we are a homeschooling family, so it was perfect! I also love that if you’re looking for a town to truly “get away,” then Morganton is the place. There’s not much there. Blue ridge is just a short drive, & they have grocery stores, a few restaurants, etc. but it’s not like camping in Ellijay where the crowds are crazy! Now, that could change during warmer months since it is a beach setting. However, fall (Sept-early Oct) is the perfect time to enjoy the sand & Wade in the water! Highly recommend!! My littles & I will be visiting many more times to come.
