This spot was perfect! Ours was right on the water with enough privacy. It had a large picnic table and fire pit which was great for cooking and eating! Spot was easy to find with clear parking for our site. I would recommend this spot to anyone looking for a scenic camping spot.

The roads that were paved in the campground were narrow and worse than gravel roads with potholes. The upper loop has a circle to turn around in. Any camper besides a small popup will end up in mud ruts or ditch to complete the circle. The edge of the drive has a drop-off that will end up cutting into the inner wall of your tires.

What a perfect campground! We loved the lakeside location with the beautiful sunsets. The host was very helpful in getting us checked in, though there was some confusion on our reservation dates. The bathhouse was very clean and had nice heaters! The only downside was that our campsite (#7), even though the location was fantastic, was set up backwards. The usable space was on the back side of the camper instead of the door side. It was also a bit difficult to get out of when leaving (we had to back up a hill with the trailer for about 30 yards to get out). We would definitely come back - and book campsite #6 instead!!!

Park is clean and well maintained! Bath houses were clean each day!
The folks that assist with questions, checking in and ice/fire wood are very kind and helpful!
Park is beautiful and with being right on the lake there are some great recreational options. Bring your water toys, the lake is your backyard while your staying here! Your very close to Blue Ridge town, so if you want urban life it is near by!
Highly recommend the park.

Campers are able to utilize the day use area for free, but if you have a vehicle parked in the day use parking lot then you have to pay the day use fee. You can be dropped off at the day use area and park at your campsite if you like. |
