Crowded, small campsites, good proximity to the lake, limited walking trails, little evidence with staff and campers re: covid 19 precautions

Very nice park. All sites are easy walk to the lake and most have good privacy. Everything is well maintained and clean, including both bath houses

We loved our stay at Morganton Point. We had site 5. Big site lots of room. Only drawback was access to lake. Site 6 would be good for that.

Several camp sites were required to move around due to reservation blocks. It could be handled better directly by the site host team. When attempting o contact the hosts prior to arrival, we were unsuccessful in getting someone to answer the phone. I also tried to get support though the online chat, very frustrating. Rather than move our campsite, my family chose just to pack up and go home after 1 night. Again, very frustrating as I feel like something could have been worked out in advance of setting up the first night. Overall, the camp hosts were extremely friendly, attentive, and helpful. The grounds are clean and well maintained. We would definitely camp there again.

We come to Morganton Point every year and find the camping area, and shower facilities always clean. Staff are always friendly and helpful. A great place to camp. Will be back again in the fall.

Campers are able to utilize the day use area for free, but if you have a vehicle parked in the day use parking lot then you have to pay the day use fee. You can be dropped off at the day use area and park at your campsite if you like. |
