This is a nice place to stay but choose your site carefully. We were at site 3 which is close to the bathroom facilities and every so often the wind would bring its unpleasant odor to our site. Besides that and a little more litter than I would have expected from all the fishermen that use the stream here it was a great time. We found the other campers to be very nice and there are plenty of spots along the stream to let kids play or fish. One other nicety near but unrelated to the campground is the Cooper Creek store you pass on the way to the campground. It is nicely provisioned for anything you may need (or have forgotten to bring!) to camp. Wed visit again and try to stay at site 8 or 9.

Best site at Cooper Creek if you want plenty of space from the other sites. Weather was rough the first few days but the weekend was wonderful. Fishing was no bueno but to be expected during the offseason when stocking isn’t happening.

Beautiful and secluded camping location "off-the-grid". We were right on the creek and it was great to go to sleep to the sounds of the creek and wake up to have morning coffee on the the creek bank. It was very quiet and peaceful place with not many other campers there, two or three. Of course this was the off season. I only wish there would have been more trout to catch! I understand that stocking stops in October and doesn't begin again until April. Overall, it is a great primitive camp ground.

The location was great and on a winter weekday, we had the place entirely to ourselves. Things get busier on the weekend, but everyone we met was respectful and friendly. You have to reserve online—there will be campers expecting to find a site same day thinking it’s first come first serve—and I feel this is why some reserved sites get taken by others.

It was cozy, quiet, clean, and a magical spot. Loved hearing the river.

Day use visitors parking in campsites. One campsite visitor had four vehicles, two were parked in a vacant campsite. Played music and ran generator at all hours. No host seen during our 6 day stay. Un-attended fires and no USFS employees seen during our stay. Firepits had been cleaned, and campsite was in good condition.

I was camped for two nights between two different large parties taking up multiple sites who had zero concern for quiet hours or courtesy. Loud music, shouting, fighting, and off leash dogs. The second night I moved to an unoccupied camp site to get farther away, but the noise was hard to totally escape. The campground was fine, but overall it was a poor experience. I had reservations for a third night but left because I couldn't take another night of that.

Water spigots not working/go un-repaired for years. Fire pit ash piles unsightly, should be removed. Insufficient trees or poorly placed pole for tent ridge-line. Host gathers/takes left firewood each morning. Not accommodating.
