What Guests Are Saying
Grayback Campground offers a stunning location with beautiful views, clean facilities, and a peaceful atmosphere, perfect for campers and hikers. Many visitors appreciate the spacious sites, proximity to Idaho City, and well-maintained restrooms. However, some concerns were raised about the water quality and the lack of camp hosts, and tent accommodations could be improved.

Great campground! Paved roads are nice for kids to ride bikes or scooters. Lots of shade and sites aren’t too close to each other.

Great quiet campground. Close to the highway so we could hear the occasional car but wasn’t obnoxious. Short walk to Mores Creek and many hiking trails by. Paved parking areas at each site. Bathrooms were clean and well built. Will return

Nice campground near time. I've heard it was overrun with kids riding bikes around the loop, but this was my second visit and so far I haven't seen too much of that behavior. There are some nice trails leading out from the campground. There was water (thank you) and TP and trash which makes life a bit easier.

Lovely campground, large spaces, quiet campers. Lovely pine scented woods and vault toilets that are mini-log cabins. 2 miles from all services in quaint western, gold mining/hot springs town of Idaho City. One hour from Boise on beautiful winding highway.

Beautiful campground. The bathrooms are fairly clean and there are a few nice walking/hiking paths nearby.
We had some noise problems with some of the other campers and couldn’t find the camp host.

I hiked up from Whoop-'em Up parking lot, about 17 miles north. I had the trail to myself. It was hot but scenic, with one little picturesque creek at the start of the trail.
Bring an umbrella or a popup for site 009. It's the sunniest one.
