What Guests Are Saying
Grayback Campground offers a stunning location with beautiful views, clean facilities, and a peaceful atmosphere, perfect for campers and hikers. Many visitors appreciate the spacious sites, proximity to Idaho City, and well-maintained restrooms. However, some concerns were raised about the water quality and the lack of camp hosts, and tent accommodations could be improved.

Overall the site was good. However, there needs to be some road work done on the approach as you turn into the Group sites. Where the dirt road transitions to the asphalt of the parking lot, it is too steep and needs to be more gradual to accommodate trailers. We really struggled getting our Fifth Wheel Trailers into the spot.

We stayed for 5 days at the campground. Everything was clean and well kept. The only negative was that the water from the community water pump was not clear .... it had the color of light tea. We didn't know if it was safe to drink or not.

Drove up on a Tuesday night and left Thursday morning... We had such a nice peaceful time. Quiet spot far enough from the main road we didn't even hear traffic. Deer running through camp. We are ready to go back and spend some more time up in the area!!
