What Guests Are Saying
Springy Point campground offers a beautiful, well-maintained location with friendly hosts and clean restrooms. Many guests appreciate the proximity to the lake and the availability of amenities like showers and dishwashing stations. However, some sites are small and can be challenging for larger trailers, and there have been concerns about wasp nests and limited privacy between campsites.

Excellent stay. Sites are easy to get into (30’ Class C), nicely wooded, and access to the lake. We rode bicycles into Sandpoint. Would definitely stay again.

well kept camp ground suitable to tenting and small RV's. My only complaint was noisy dogs

Had a wonderful time at this campground. Beautifully sits on lake Pend Orielle, close to downtown and countless hikes. Would love to stay here again. Water and flush toilets available.

Late day no reservation in early September. Campground staff super accommodating with great site recommendation. We just have a small trailer but large trailers would be a bit challenging to maneuver in the small campground. Great for a quick 1 night stay but warning it is incredibly challenging to turn left onto HWY 95 to head into Sandpoint.

We loved our week camping at Springy Point! We stayed nice and cool because of all of the trees surrounding the campground and had so much fun at the beach everyday. An Added bonus was that Sandpoint was only minutes away!

Loved this place! Great little sandy beach and swimming area. Beautiful Lake Pend Oreille. Nice facilities with showers. Sites in the pines.

Reservation process on Recreation.gov was easy.
Springy Point is clean and well-managed. Campsites are somewhat heavily wooded so there’s at least some shade no matter what time of day it is. I’m not much of a water person, but the ease of access to the river/lake is outstanding. Some amenities that you often pay a premium for at other campgrounds (lighted flush toilets, trash dumpster) are nice touches. A little more proximity to a busy road than I prefer, but nighttime noise wasn’t a real issue, likely dampened by the trees. I was in an SUV tent and had a reasonably level and nicely cleared pad. Really enjoyed my (too short) stay!
