We drove south of Elk City, Idaho and the road was good pavement. Without notice, in the middle of nowhere, it was a dirt road and no signs indicating how far to Dent Campground. We proceeded and it was terrible washboard roads for I'm guessing 20 miles. Once again, no signs. Needless to say, when we made it to the campground the hosts were very kind and felt bad about the road. They have had other couples experience the same ordeal. Not a great start for our road trip. Either grade the road periodically or put up some signs. Better yet...do both.

We were unable to get into the space with our fifth wheel. As it was high centered due to the curvature of the site. Then there was no one around to speak to. To compound the issue the phone goes to an unmonitored line that you cannot leave a message at. And.., I’ve had no luck contacting them to see if I’m being charged.

We could not get our camper in there because of a tree that was sitting there and because the back of the camper bottomed out, the sights are made with a hump instead of a flat space so if you have a certain length camper at certain sites your camper will not get in, The campground host was extremely helpful we tried three more sites they also had the hump so they were able to put us in one for one night we had reservations for five night It was July the 4th weekend so we stayed one night and we had nowhere to go we looked on the computer for an hour and a half trying to find somewhere to go It was 105 degrees in Idaho so as you can see we were a little bit in a fix but thank the Lord someone called my husband back with the reservation and we were able to go to another place in Idaho it's sad that campgrounds make their campsites with a big hump on them because you need a flat site not a hump site but the campground host was very very nice and they try to do everything they could because they knew we were without anywhere to stay and all the way from Georgia Thank you

The staff were very nice and the bathrooms were very clean every day. The park and boat ramp were taken well care of. The new lights on the bathrooms are way to bright at night, make it hard to see and light up the whole campground. We had a great stay and will be back.

Campsite #16 turned out to be mostly a long driveway parallel with the road. Plenty of room for parking a motorhome and trailer. Unfortunately, the grassy area at the campsite was extremely small, and half of that area sloped downhill. There was little shade that moved from one end to the other during the day but could only be enjoyed with a lawn chair on the 8' wide flat area on one end. The covered picnic table was large and looked great, but it was unstable. If you sat on one side the table and bench on the other side would rise. It was like a see-saw. There were frequent visits from wasps to the covered roof of the table, but I ignored them and they did not bother me. It was an especially bad site for me because I camped with a 12x12 tent that barely fit on the sloped end. I arranged my cot so my head was at the high level with my feet about 1 1/2 feet lower. The campground overall was nice and the boat dock is directly below. It seems to be a favorite party spot for campers/locals in the evening well after quiet hours and the sound carries throughout the campground. If you are lucky you can get a weak Verizon signal but no other cell service possible. The other campsites are OK to great but avoid this one at all costs.
