We love camping at this island. We were there on the Fourth of July and things were pretty busy. But we love havIng our own beach line and views So we’ll be back again and again. Pit toilets at this site were pretty gross but we’ve stayed at other camp sites on the island where they were fine (as fine as public pit toilets get). Must bring in all your water! There is ice sold at the private marina at Kalispell bay or at the Hills Resort, which are within reasonable boating distance if your cooler starts warming.

Not private. Loud many other campers on the island.

Nothing against the location (it is a magical place), but our selected camp dates coincided with the air quality extremely dangerous to breath from the fires, so camping out was not an option. There was no host at the check-in boat ramp so we could not ask about re-scheduling. We had to forfeit our $75+ fees.

Sites 37 and 38 have better boat parking, sight 36 is in the rocks, with boulders right underwater in front of the camping spot. Site 36 is best for canoers and kayakers.

There are rocks right under the water out front of this campsite, so if you're not a canoer or kayaker, I'd stay away from this site.

Watch out for the milk crates.. there’s a good reason they’re there! We loved our stay and will go bk!

We showed up and our spot was occupied. There was a note on the post for someone arriving the following day, but not for ours.
