Because we were there off season, the dump station and showers were hard to find. The park and lake were lovely.

we got there and tried to modify our campsite to camp at another less crowded spot but the website did not allow to change campsites or modify our campsite after we arrived to our reservation. campground host was never available everytime we tried to talk to him about changing our camp spot.

Hot water needed in nearby bathroom and showers, had to go to main area for that.
Bathrooms were very clean.
Campsites were large and nicely paved and quiet and well cared for.
Water was available but would have been nice to be at each campsite.
Dump station was available but no rinsing water.

McNair was beautiful in the fall. Site was very level. Did not see any staff during our entire stay.

We certainly enjoyed our time at Dam East Spillway. The weather was fantastic with 60' and 70' in November! It was peaceful and quiet while there, which is how we like it. The campground is well maintained and the bathrooms were very clean, which is typical for a Corp of Engineers campground... our favorite campground!

We had never camped at the spillway before because we thought it would smell like fish. It did not. We were pleasantly surprised. It was clean and quiet and we had a wonderful time! We camped with my parents. There are no buddy sites at the spillway, but you are close enough that this doesn’t matter. Great staff and McNair (the dog) is wonderful!

This campground is very clean and has all the amenities we needed. We could ride our bikes on the bike path that runs right by the campground to town or out into the country. Our campsite had a nice view of the lake. The restrooms/ shower building was very clean. We would come back.
