What Guests Are Saying
Dam East - McNair Campground is praised for its beautiful location, clean and spacious sites, and friendly camp hosts. Many visitors enjoyed the quiet atmosphere, well-maintained facilities, and convenient amenities such as electric and water hookups. However, some concerns were raised about litter from previous campers and occasional noise disturbances, particularly late at night. Site 45 at the spillway was very sunny no shade. Checked other sites that where reserved for the weekend and they where empty and not occupied. To me it seems like allot of lost revenue for the park when you have to reserve on line 2 months in advance. Hope things get better for the park. It's really a beautiful place to stay and visit.

This place is always well managed. Bathrooms are always clean. My only complaint is all the trash that some of the people fishing leave along the waterfront.

We’ve been going to this Campground for 5 years and have always raved about the cleanliness of the bathrooms and showers. But this year… it’s gone from a 10 to a -2, there is mold on the shower curtains, the toilets are dirty, the toilet paper is thinner and low quality. We noticed it’s the same people doing the cleaning so we wonder if there was a reduction in funds? Paycut? But we are very disappointed in this change for the worst.

Campground was very clean and the beach is just a few steps away. All sites are asphalt so limited dirt or mud tracked into campers. Rode our bikes into Carlyle for donuts in the morning. We will be back.
