What Guests Are Saying
Coon Creek offers a beautiful and peaceful camping experience with clean facilities, well-maintained campgrounds, and friendly staff. Many visitors appreciate the picturesque views of Lake Shelbyville and the quiet atmosphere, making it a favorite for families and nature lovers. However, some concerns were raised about the lack of fish cleaning stations, narrow parking spaces, and the need for improved arrival hours for campers without reservations.

Only complaint is there was no hand soap in the restrooms. Other than that the place was amazing. Quiet and peaceful. Great lots and plenty of room to move around,

Nice level campsite. Plenty of space between campsites.
Other than the duck hunting starting at dawn it was very peaceful.

We love Coon Creek. This was our second long term stay (2 weeks = long term for COE campgrounds). The camp hosts are great, very friendly & the sites are long & wide. Beautiful scenery

Other than lake recreation, there is nothing to see but 'looking for Lincoln' witch turned out to be pretty cool, especially the Lincoln Presidential Library and Museum. The bathrooms were nowheres as clean as other ACoE campgrounds I have been in. One must provide their own soap and hand drying gear and I never figured out how to wash my hands after using the toilot (the ones without showers) while using one hand to hold the wall button for water.

We had a wonderful spot in the middle of several shade trees. We were even able to hang my hammock which helps with my joint issues. It was a very lovely experience.
