What Guests Are Saying
Coon Creek offers a beautiful and peaceful camping experience with clean facilities, well-maintained campgrounds, and friendly staff. Many visitors appreciate the picturesque views of Lake Shelbyville and the quiet atmosphere, making it a favorite for families and nature lovers. However, some concerns were raised about the lack of fish cleaning stations, narrow parking spaces, and the need for improved arrival hours for campers without reservations.

Our campsite was in the perfect location. We stayed at 221 and it was near the playground, restrooms, & showers. We even found a beautiful look out spot not far from out site. The workers were helpful with showing us everything we needed to know. It was our first time here and it most definitely won’t be our last! The lake is absolutely beautiful and I can’t wait to come back. We took part in kayaking and paddle boarding on the lake. The kids thoroughly enjoyed the beach area, as well. A helpful side-note; simply because I over looked it when coming, make sure you bring your own hand soap for the restrooms :)

Have more pull through sites. The railroad ties were a pain.

Very clean sites, bathrooms, showers lake. Nice and quiet at night and a cute little shop for any camping needs with reasonable prices. I highly recommend Coon Creek!

We were in 181 and the site is backwards...we noticed alot of sites are that way in Coon Creek. You back your camper in and picnic table and electrical box makes you put your camper with door on opposite side...big negative impact on us returning...couldn't even open our awning cause a tree was there. The pic on your website makes picnic table look farther back and its concrete...no moving that...it sucked big time

Spot was pretty level, no problems with hookups. Grounds were well kept and far enough apart to enjoy true peace and quiet! Campground hosts were beyond nice, letting us know hydrant locations for easier fill up, advising us on an alternative way to take care of dumping to avoid the lines......SUPER nice people! Will definitely be back again!

The camp host was very friendly and helpful! We have visited this campground twice now and loved our site and experience both times!
