What Guests Are Saying
Coon Creek offers a beautiful and peaceful camping experience with clean facilities, well-maintained campgrounds, and friendly staff. Many visitors appreciate the picturesque views of Lake Shelbyville and the quiet atmosphere, making it a favorite for families and nature lovers. However, some concerns were raised about the lack of fish cleaning stations, narrow parking spaces, and the need for improved arrival hours for campers without reservations.

Really nice campgrounds with spacious lots, many on the water. Also, a nice beach in campgrounds. My only dislike was are site was not a back-in or pull through. we had a site where we parked parallel to the road with a campsite below us. odd never had a site like that, it was all right but would rather have back in site There are only about10 of these, but pictures are decieving

The "upgrades" to the bathrooms were not done right. They removed several and replaced them with just a few. Long walk to the bathrooms and sometimes a line.

The campgrounds and facilities are very clean.
The playground area needs to be patrolled in the evening teenage kids using foul language disrespecting adults.
I am disappointed in all of the sites that were reserved but yet empty because people canceled they should put a two week cancellation on sites if you can’t cancel in two weeks you lose full fee.

Make sure the camp site you choose is not a redesigned tent spot, tables and fire pits are on the wrong side. Beaches are nice and quiet. New restrooms are clean!!!

I hadn't been here since 2020 and the improvement made were greatly appreciated. Bathrooms where really clean and nice. Park is kept very clean. Appreciate that it's a very low-key campground and tons of great views of the lake.
