Lone Point Campground offers a variety of well-maintained sites with beautiful views and a peaceful atmosphere, making it a great option for relaxation. Many guests appreciated the friendly hosts, cleanliness of the facilities, and convenient access to Lake Shelbyville. While some sites may be unlevel and require extra care, overall, visitors enjoyed their stays and expressed eagerness to return.

Establishing stronger internet would make a big difference for us. I work from home and we could spend more time at Lake Shelbyville campgrounds.

No place on the site was level it was a real challenge to level our trailer. The fire ring location wasn’t optimal. In fact the whole site is in the process of sliding down the hill. The camp host was very nice.

The campground hosts should not be allowed to continue hosting at this campground. Their conduct contributed to a very uncomfortable and hostile experience during my stay.
The situation escalated to the point where park rangers repeatedly came to my campsite, questioned me, intimidated me, and made me feel harassed rather than treated like a paying guest with a valid reservation. I ultimately felt so uncomfortable that I began making plans to leave even though I should have been able to peacefully enjoy my campsite.
In my opinion, the campground hosts and rangers involved handled this situation poorly and created an unnecessary conflict. No guest should be made to feel targeted, intimidated, or forced out of a campground. This needs to be reviewed by management, and the hosts involved should be removed from their hosting position.
