Awesome campground. We stayed three nights in a tent on the south slope, site #24. Great site. Lots of room at the site and space between the campsites. Showers/restrooms were clean and staff was friendly as well. We will definitely be going back.

Quiet forested campground (we stayed 2 days on the south loop) very close to I70 without hearing the hyway. Very helpful host, super clean bathroom facilities. Would stay again

The campground was heavily wooded with a level spot. The hosts were continuously cleaning the bathhouse and small restrooms. We loved the Rickenbaugh House interpretive trail. The other trails looked inviting but we had to give up the Two Lakes Trail after 50 feet because of tons of ticks, both deer ticks and Rocky Mountain. These trails would be good after the vegetation dies. We ended up walking to both lakes on the road to avoid ticks which was very scenic.
We went to the Pour Haus in Tell City for a great lunch and toured St. Meinrad Archabbey which was beautiful and free!
