Wonderful campground! Everyone was so helpful and friendly. The grounds and bathhouses were exceptionally clean! We’re heading back there again in a week. Enjoy!

A lot of construction going on at West Overlook. Made it somewhat noisy. The staff was great. Park ranger spent time with our grandson explain what was going on at camp ground and gave him items to play with.

The main drawback is having to fill camper with water at dump station. Some areas are a distance away to do that so staying for several days or weeks would be very inconvenient since there are no water pumps in camping areas. Quiet and shady, though, in the trees.

The road going out of our loop was blocked off which made it difficult when we were leaving. Thankfully we had 6 spots and could work together to get out when leaving

From Interstate 80 (Iowa City, IA) take Exit 244 towards Dubuque St./North Liberty. Travel north on Dubuque St. for 3 miles and turn right onto West Overlook Rd. NE. Travel on West Overlook Rd. NE for 1.1 miles. At the stop sign take a slight left turn. The entrance to the West Overlook Campground will be located straight ahead.
From Interstate 380 (North Liberty, IA) take Exit 4 towards North Liberty. Travel east on W. Penn St. for 2 miles and turn right onto N Dubuque St. Travel south on N Dubuque St. for 1.9 miles, at the traffic circle, continue straight onto Dubuque St NE. Continue traveling south on Dubuque St. NE for 1.8 miles. Turn left onto West Overlook Rd. NE and travel east for 1.1 miles. At the stop sign take a slight left turn. The entrance to the West Overlook Campground will be located straight ahead.
