West Overlook Campground

Great hosts, well tended facility, so many campsites to pick from. A wonderful overnight stop on our trips between MO and MN.

Awesome campground!

It's a beautiful place to go camping. It's clean everybody there is respectful great view. The spots are well spaced apartI highly recommend to anyone who has never been there before you won't be disappointed

Brought our 2 great grandsons, their first time camping. They loved a nearby playground and the beach. We went for walks, played, and swam.

We enjoy camping at West Overlook, hitting the beach, fishing from the shore and kayaking.

We spent one night at West Overlook Campground. Our site overlooked the lake and we had a great time watching the boats on the water. The campground is great and would stay there again.

The campground was clean and the staff friendly. Quiet hours were observed and the lake was lovely. The tent spots were flat and the activities that were available were great. So, in general, the experience was great. I only have three small potential areas of improvement. First, the non-pit-toilet bathrooms are far away from many of the campsites which makes nighttime bathroom excursions a chore for tent campers with small children. Second, the pit toilets that were closer to the campsites were extremely dirty and pretty disgusting (and I am pretty tolerant of pit toilets). Finally, there was goose poop everywhere. I realize there might not be much anyone can do about the goose poop, but I just thought someone ought to be aware of it.
