What Guests Are Saying
Clark's Ferry Campground is highly praised for its cleanliness, friendly hosts, and beautiful views of the Mississippi River, making it a pleasant stay for visitors. The location is convenient for exploring nearby attractions like Wildcat Den State Park and offers a peaceful atmosphere, particularly during midweek. However, the proximity to active train tracks results in frequent noise, which may be a drawback for those sensitive to sound.

The trains are loud, other than that Clark’s is a great place! Clean shower house, nice play ground, spacious lots, fishing dock, and a boat ramp next door.

Facility was clean and very quiet, except for the trains. They did not bother us, because our home is near a track, so we are accustomed to the noise day and night. Nothing is better than sitting by the Mississippi watching the river traffic.

A beautiful park on the Mississippi River. Like many other Corps of Engineers parks it is on railroad tracks with a grade crossing on the entrance to the park so there are bells and whistles when trains go by but those did not disturb our sleep. Lots of mature trees and concrete pads for RVs and trailer. Also water availability near most pads.

We had a wonderful experience at Clark's Ferry. We saw many barges and River Boats, some paddle propelled. The bathrooms are the best of all the many Core of Engineering parks we have stayed at. They are very clean and very large and there are 4 of them. We never had to wait for one in 2 weeks. This is our favorite Core of Engineering park.

Great location to watch the Mississippi River. Very well kept campground, very good shower/bath buildings. Close enough to Davenport to sightsee, visit the locks and museum. There are trains that go by day and night but not often enough to be annoying.

Upon arrival 50 amp service was not operating as it should. Spoke with park host and they had it fixed promptly. Park is nice small and quiet.

The campgrounds were well cared for as always. We didn’t see the Host but the volunteer was very friendly and helpful.

I will stay here again, From my spot next to the river I could watch the barges go by, The park was well mowed. The bathhouse was clean, spacious and had hot water for showers. My spot was easy to back into. There was no host during my stay but the county deputies made rounds often. It was quiet except when the trains passed by as they whistled at the crossings. A few miles SW is a state? park called Wildcat Den, with hiking trails to limestone hollows and creeks. The best part is that the 1850 original 3-story Grist Mill is open on the weekends for sure. With informative signage, Along this stretch of IA 22 is multiple miles of bike trails.

WE ONLY STAYED ONE NIGHT AS WE WERE PASSING THROUGH BUT THE VIEW OF THE RIVER WAS SPECTACULAR, THE PARK WAS EASY TO ACCESS AND GET AROUND! WE WILL LOOK TO COME BACK FOR A LONGER STAY SOON!
