What Guests Are Saying
Howell Station is a highly praised campground known for its spacious, clean sites and beautiful natural surroundings, making it a favorite for families. Campers enjoy the quiet atmosphere, friendly staff, and numerous recreational opportunities, including biking and wildlife watching. Some minor improvements are suggested, like better Wi-Fi and complete hookups, but overall, visitors have had great experiences and plan to return.

Beautiful site, #106. The custodian volunteers were extremely nice and the bathrooms were kept nice and clean. They drive around and walked around regularly checking sites that might need cleaned up after people left and even offered to clean out fire pit. The Host was also nice but caused a little confusion when we asked for the bathroom hand soap to be refilled, he first said, they no longer fill them because people kept taking it. But the custodian volunteer did refill them and said that it may have just been a misunderstanding. We just took our own hand soap for three days so it wasn’t a big deal. Again, very nice people representing the park and sites.

Nice campground but terrible cell service. I think it’s a scary if there would be an emergency.

Forgot my golden access card was told I needed to go home and get it or get up charged to full rate. I had my ID drivers license was told that wasn’t good enough. Had to go get my wife’s and they changed the reservation to her name. Also check out time at 12:00 makes the dump station Waite way to long because everyone is trying to leave at the same time. RIDICULOUS

We were camping with friends last weekend and I had reserved spot 17 instead of 117. The guy helped us change to a spot closer to our friends. We so appreciated their help and letting us do that.

We love Howell Station but are disappointed with the new noon checkout time. There are 143 camping sites and the majority were checking out on Sunday. The lines to the dump station were extremely long. We wish the Corp would reconsider the early checkout. One hour later would probably help significantly.
