What Guests Are Saying
Howell Station is a highly praised campground known for its spacious, clean sites and beautiful natural surroundings, making it a favorite for families. Campers enjoy the quiet atmosphere, friendly staff, and numerous recreational opportunities, including biking and wildlife watching. Some minor improvements are suggested, like better Wi-Fi and complete hookups, but overall, visitors have had great experiences and plan to return.

Howell station is a great campground. Always clean and well maintained.
Only negative is the lack of decent cellphone service. It seems like cell phone repeater tower of something is needed to improve the very weak cellphone service in that area.

Great campground. Nice shower/bath houses. Walking/biking paths are very nice. Would like to have been able to receive cell reception.

We love camping at Howell, however the new check in and check out time spoil the experience for many. Check out at noon doesn’t allow anyone working to have a time to get checked out. Also, no one gets to use the noon hour for a family meal. Just doesn’t make any sense to me or my family. We will begin to use other parks for our family get togethers. We’ve held our family camp out (7 campsites) at Howell the last 12 years but that always includes lunch on Sunday. COE must have a better idea!
