What Guests Are Saying
Kendall Campground is highly praised for its cleanliness, beautiful scenery, and well-maintained facilities, making it a favorite among campers for over 40 years. Visitors enjoy excellent fishing, wildlife viewing, and friendly staff, with many expressing eagerness to return. Some areas require maintenance, such as picnic tables and bathroom fixtures, and there are minor complaints regarding restroom design and noise from RV lights, but overall, the campground offers a peaceful and enjoyable camping experience.

A great place to camp with very friendly staff. The only negative is that a garbage can needs to be located at the dump station.

Kendall is our go-to getaway and we Love it there. I love the fishing there.
However,
Some aspects have gone down hill in the last few years. Things like the fish cleaning station are out of order, and have been for quite a while. The stair down to the river are in disrepair or outright defunct.
Those that have been going there for quite a while have seen it go downhill.
All this is very disappointing especially for a Corp facility.
I sincerely hope that some of the stimulus money gets to them.
Don’t get me wrong, this is still a wonderful facility, fishing from everything from hardcore bushwhacking the stream for trout to drift fishing the Cumberland to a very nice concreted wheelchair accessible area.
PS. They need to put in a toilet in the handicapped fishing area!!!
Good fishing,
Pat

We love Kendall, we always see deer in the area, sometimes right in our campsite. It's close to great fishing, the price is great, the hosts are awesome. We also appreciate the 3:00pm checkout time.

Way above average COE campground. The hosts at the gate are great people. The sites are exceptional some are huge! The addition of the National Trout Hatchery with Colorado type trout stream and the Cumberland River at the Wolf Creek Dam at Cumberland Lake make this a paradise for all sportsman and families. I will keep coming back here.

We arrived on Sunday, the bathroom closest to our campsite stayed open thru Thursday then closed supposedly due to the cold weather. It remained closed until we departed on Tuesday. Had we known the bathroom closest to our campsite was going to close, we would have chosen a spot closer to the one that remained open. We have stayed at Kendall many times and enjoy it very much. We find this lack of communication unacceptable and are very disappointed..
