Mammoth Cave Campground is well-managed, clean, and offers ample amenities, including running water in restrooms and access to nearby hiking trails and a restaurant. Campers appreciate the spacious sites, friendly staff, and the outstanding cave tours available, making for an enjoyable experience. Perfect for location visiting mammoth caves. Daniel the ranger was so helpful in finding an alternative site for us when we had to move

We loved the location of the campground and how close it is to the visitor center and hiking/biking trails. Our stay was during spring break so the kayak outfitters were not up and running yet but there was still plenty to do and see. Some of the campsites were close together, but most are pleasantly spaced out. The bathrooms were very clean, but they are small considering there is only one set per loop. I could see that being a slight hassle during peak season. The cave tours were epic and definitely live up to its namesake. Even though it was "off season" they still had a good variety of tours (buy tickets in advance!) We only stayed 3 nights so we didn't get to explore the entirety of the park grounds, definitely would recommend staying longer if you want to see it all!

What a fantastic campground! Plenty of good biking trails and nature walks to be had. The sites were large and there is plenty of space in between to spread out with a hammock or chairs. A very safe place for the kids to roam and cycle about. Restrooms were clean and showers had nice hot water.

Staying at the Mammoth Cave Campground was a great experience. The man at the check in booth was imformative and very helpful. We had a great campsite and was within walking distance of the bathroom and supply store. Hiking trails were connected to the campground and were very fun. The campground was quiet and we even had a campfire and smores. We would definitely stay here again.

A must see for any budding geologist, and quite frankly anyone. It’s hard to explain the vastness of the caves. The campground was super, as were the people who ran the shop and visitors center. A return visit is in the works.

Facilities were all clean, the sites were surprisingly large, park employees were quite helpful and friendly, it was great to be within walking distance of the visitor center, and the wifi in the campground was an unexpected bonus! Hopefully we can visit again soon!

The campground location is awesome. The drawbacks that per loop of many people, there are only 2 sinks, one toilet and 2 urinals (one broken). Also there are only 3 very old showers for the whole campground without any changing booths. You pretty much change in the middle of the open restroom. These defiantly need to be renovated and upgraded.
The cave tours are awesome and there is plenty to do in area, e.g. horseback riding, hiking, haunted houses, zoo. It is defiantly worth a visit.

We had a lovely time camping at Mammoth Cave campground, highly recommend this spot to anyone that loves camping. The campground was quiet, comfortable and well-maintained and park staff (rangers and park police) were available and seemed to keep an eye on things. Rangers were very approachable and helpful, they were extremely knowledgeable and professional. Just the right balance of being in the woods and knowing that staff were around if you needed them.

Nice campground. Many of the pull through sites, like 13B, face the incorrect direction (camper door opens towards the road rather than the living space).
