We always have a great time at Mammoth Cave! Great tent camping, with clean bath house. Great loop for kids to bike/roller blade! Excellent “woods” for kids to play! Our third visit and I’m sure we’ll return!
Ps. Also did domes and Dripstones tour. Awesome!

So disappointed that the Campground had so many loops closed on a holiday weekend when all open sites were fully reserved/booked! Additionally, the camp store paid showers was $1.50 for 6 minutes...however, the shower didn't get hot until 4 minutes in.

The staff were friendly and courteous. The campsite was fine for a primitive site, the shower room was so outdated and a little gross and the cost to take a shower was a bit ridiculous for the condition of the showers. I did not take a shower. I would suggest if you are going to charge for showers that you at least have updated clean facilities in order to do so.

My daughter and I had a fantastic time at the Park. We camped for 2 nights and did a 4 hour cave tour, which was well worth every penny. Campground facilities were clean and comfortable. We will definitely be back for more of the cave tours and hiking trails.

We just needed to stay one night but will definitely be back. The sites were well spaced and lovely. The one improvement I would like to see is a utility sink. It really helps in a no hook-up site.

Overall experience was great, but the showers are terrible. Whoever the company is that is contracted with the park service is needs to upgrade the facilities. The cost is to high and the product is very poor.

We tent camped in site C-079 for 3 nights. The location was mostly level and accommodated 2 medium tents. There are a lot of trees throughout the campground and the Fall colors were beautiful. It was a short distance to the bathrooms which was appreciated by those in our group that needed to go in the middle of the night. The bathrooms were clean and well lit. There was not a large number of campers in the "C" loop which made our visit enjoyable and quiet. The area between the fire pit, picnic table and tent location had a large number of surface tree roots, considering the geology of the area this was to be expected, but it led to a significant tripping hazard especially at night. We arrived late in the day our first night and the camp store closed early, so we had to drive back towards town to purchase local firewood which turned out to be much better than the firewood alternative (pressed sawdust blocks) that the camp store had to offer. The most negative experience, especially for the children and young adults in our group, was the constant harassments by a large number of Eastern Yellow Jackets. They were not aggressive (probably due to the time of year), but from dawn to dusk they were in everything, food, drinks, tents, eyes, ears, noses, hair and cloths. Minus the Yellow Jackets, our stay was great.
